Recycling - Items you can bring into the shop to be recycled

Posted on
We have signed up with Terracycle to be a drop off point for some of the items they recycle! We want to help make recycling easy and accessible for everyone.
These are the items you can currently bring in to be recycled (as empty as possible):
  • Dental hygiene products (on the waiting list as a drop off point but we're still collecting regardless): toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes, dental floss containers, packaging from new toothbrushes and dental floss.
  • Plug-in air fresheners and refills, clip on car air fresheners, air freshener aerosols and spray bottles.
  • Pens, pencils, markers (not a current advertised drop off as we need to purchase a recycling box but still collecting regardless).

We are also collecting the following:

  • Mobile phones, mobile chargers, mobile accessories
    • These are recycled via Mobile Muster, you'll find a box just to your right as you walk in the shop to pop items in.
  • Metal lids, such as bottle tops and pasta sauce lids, and metal odds and ends, such as empty mint containers and sparkling wine tops
    • These are recycled in North Geelong at Sims Metal Recycling.
  • Batteries
    • These are recycled at Geelong Council Customer Service Centres.
  • Old DVD disks and CD's

  • Energy Saving Light Bulbs
